AI and recording disclosure
Last updated 3 November 2026
If you called someone and spoke with their assistant
The person you called uses Alpha Assistant, an AI personal assistant made by Code Alpha AI Pty Ltd. When they are busy or unavailable, their calls are answered by an AI assistant on their behalf.
- It always says it is an AI. The assistant introduces itself as an AI assistant and answers honestly if you ask whether you are speaking with a real person.
- Calls may be recorded and transcribed. The recording, transcript and a short summary are shared with the person you called so they can follow up with you.
- It acts on their instructions. The assistant can take a message, share information the owner has approved, or book a time in their calendar. It cannot make commitments, agree to deals or share private details on their behalf.
- Your information. Your number, what you said and any details you gave are used only to pass your message on and help the person you called respond. See our privacy policy.
To ask about a call or request deletion of a recording, contact the person you called, or email [email protected].
For customers
You choose how your assistant introduces itself, but it must always identify itself as an AI and must not pretend to be you. Recording and AI disclosure rules differ between countries and states. Some places require every party to consent to recording. You are responsible for using the service in a way that complies with the laws that apply to you and your callers.
